Argentine Canberra B-108's Last Flight

EE Canberra B.62
Serial B-108
Fuerza Aérea Argentina
Grupo 2 De Bombardeo
Base Aérea Militar Río Gallegos
June 1982

During the 1982 Falklands (Malvinas) War Canberra B-108 was shot down by a Sea Dart missile fired from the British destroyer HMS Exeter. This would prove to be the last Argentine aircraft lost during the war. The pilot ejected safely and was rescued, but sadly the navigator was lost with the aircraft. The remains of B-108 occasionally wash up off Whale Point near Fitzroy to this day.

This 3d model is an extensive conversion of the Canberra B(I)8 by file404 to a Canberra B.62. The entire front fuselage was remodeled and a new bomber-style cockpit canopy made. Markings and camouflage were painted in Mudbox and GIMP.
