U.S.Army Ward Lafrance M1A1 Heavy Wrecker
Based on the 3d model by Distefan, which they describe as a "Ward Diamond T". It was actually made by Ward LaFrance and Kenworth.
I replaced the wheels and radiator brush guard, added the tool racks, oxygen bottles, black out lights etc. Re-UVmapped and textured too. The cabin had to be completely rebuilt too.
This is made as the late model 1000 series 5. The Kenworth version of the M1A1 had a different radiator brush guard.

In this configuration the boom jacks have been extended and secured to the body corner swivels. The sway cables have been disconnected. The boom could lift 11,000 pounds in this configuration.
The cab was almost the same as that fitted to the GMC CCKW, which in turn was a Studebaker design.
In this configuration the rear body jacks and boom jacks are both extended to the ground and the hook-line sheave is at the inboard position. The crane could lift 16,000 pounds in the mode.
In this configuration the boom has been swung to side, outrigger jacks are extended to the ground. A max load of 10,000 pounds was allowed.
